www.oneofus.co.uk     An excellent site full of online tips and resources for writers. Includes links to publications and UK writing groups.
       
www.writers-forum.com     Writers' Forum is a major monthly resource for established and aspiring writers. It covers the who, what, why, where, when and how on the craft of writing. Features include celebrity author profiles, tips from renowned authors, events, holidays for writers, competitions, and much, much more.
       
www.robinsnest.com     No relation - this is a resource centre for writers of all genres and includes workshops on how writers can use the Internet, amongst a host of other useful tips.
       
www.storyteller-uk.com     The Friendly Spirit site - part of the Storyteller-UK group of websites, this is an online magazine that accepts submissions for short stories and also runs a monthly competition.
       
www.id-factor.com     The Wanton Spirit - the Friendly Spirit's sister magazine that concentrates on stories with a more adult theme.
       
www.thehypertexts.com     A very imaginitive site that mixes classic and contemporary poetry with lyrics by a number of rock artists. There is a good links page and, even if poetry isn't your thing, I recommend having a good nose around.
